We could use a few laughs on the blog, and today’s song of the day should provide them. The song is “Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenocerus (feat. Rhymenocerus and the Hiphopopotamus)” by Flight of the Conchords. They claim to be “Formerly New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo.” Flight of the Conchords is comprised of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement. They made a name playing shows with hilarious songs. This eventually landed them a show on Showtime that is nominated for an Emmy for best comedy. They are amazing. This is a live version, so fans of the band’s show and album will notice some different lyrics, but I like it even better. I believe everyone will enjoy this little ditty.
Enjoy some other videos from Flight of the Conchords.
