The Madville Times has an interesting post that I had not heard about. The bustling metropolis and shining beacon of hope for the world that is Groton just got a little better. There is a new project in the works that will create a Groton Wind Farm. As Cory’s post shows, Forbes even reported on it. So yeah, kind of a big deal.
I hope this is the beginning of a trend. Anyone who has lived on the Great Plains knows we have plenty of wind power to tap into. It’s about time we got it rolling.

“Get it rolling”?
It’s been rolling for six years. Major wind farms are operating or are currently being built at Eureka, Highmore, Miller, Crow Lake, Brookings, Wessington Springs, Deuel County, and Day County. Hundreds of millions of dollars have already been invested.
I agree that more will be even better, of course.
Apologies. I guess get this project rolling would have been better.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
