Anyone find that offensive.

I didn’t.

In the words of Colin Cowherd this morning on his radio show: “The only people that would find that commercial offensive is the guy that works at Starbucks with the black hair and the big hole in his ear because he already hates his dad and his siblings.”

I mean you really had to be paying attention to the end of the commercial to really understand what the ad was for.

To me, It was too much hype for nothing. I am curious what Mr. Feser thinks about this ad….

The ad was fine, but it didn’t attack abortion at all. What we really found out is just how stupid Planned Parenthood is, they gave the ad so much hype and then it didn’t even attack them. What will happen is that people will go to the Focus on the Family website and watch the video and read the story and that will attack abortion. It seems to me though that if not for Planned Parenthood getting everyone interested in the commercial, most people would not have noticed it, it wasn’t memorable. Planned Parenthood got people looking for it and then it didn’t really say much, so people are going to be left wondering what the big deal is and will then go and check out the other stuff on Focus on the Family’s website.

Focus on the Family should issue a public thank you to Planned Parenthood, all of their crying did more to get people interested in the story than the commerical would have done on its own.

I was (pleasantly?) surprised by it. Like Ray says, it wasn’t an obvious abortion attack. I expected something much more blatant.

So I guess I was pretty neutral.

Adam, would you agree that Planned Parenthood made themselves look pretty stupid getting so worked up about it and probably gave it more attention than it ever would have received on its own?

They probably did give it more attention, though the this was the most watched event in television history, so I’m not sure it would have mattered. It was bound to get attention regardless.

The commercial was lame though. It didn’t grab your attention and the part showing Focus on the Family was so brief, I have a hard time believeing that many people would have cared enough to follow up on it if not for the hype in the weeks before the game.

    That could be true.

I will not debate with your endings because I think you’re exact on the money! You have put together a logical case for your opinions and now I know more about this extraordinary topic. Thanks for this supreme post and i will come back for more.
