The Washington Times has an interesting article about Republican senators that opposed the stimulus but are looking to benefit from it. The article was created using the Freedom of Information Act to secure documents.
I understand that many senators are just trying to secure a portion of the stimulus for their constituents. I get how you could be against something but once it’s passed recognize it’s the best thing for your state.
What I don’t get is those that were dead against, called it useless, but then claimed their projects would stimulate the economy and create jobs. These people must be lying one way or the other. I wonder if they will sing the praises of the stimulus after their projects succeed? With some conservative groups already taking notice, I doubt it.
Enjoy a little hypocrisy.
