Check out this warning from Boehlert. It compiles a lot of the things we have seen wrong with the opposition to the Obama administration and discusses what it could lead to. Here’s a key quote:
Note that the radical right’s media rhetoric is no longer even political in a partisan sense. Instead, it’s purely revolutionary. It isn’t, “We think taxes should be lower” or “Obama should be more hawkish overseas.” It’s, “There’s an insidious and deadly plot afoot by Democrats and progressives to strip Americans of their freedom and this country of its greatness.” Obama is now the incarnation of evil (the Antichrist?), and his driving hatred for America, as well as for democracy, runs so deep that he ran for president in order to destroy the United States from inside the Oval Office.
Those with the biggest audiences (especially Beck), frame what’s happening as an evil plot to destroy America. It’s no wonder that guys like Byron Williams get drunk, load their truck with guns, and take off to shoot up liberal non-profits.
Rhetoric framing our political leaders as the enemies of America hell-bent on its destruction are irresponsible.
Enjoy TO ruining the Bengals’ chances.

I believe this post was totally irresponsible. The progressive left has been rewriting history for the last 100 years in an attempt to push their far left agenda. They have always had one major road block in their way and that was the US Constitution. So, they have seen fit to slowly destroying it through Executive Orders from progressive presidents and the outrageous rulings by activist Supreme Courts controlled by progressives.
Unfortunately, conservative who by their nature are fairly reserved people have sat on the sidelines and watched this happen. Now, that a FEW conservatives are waking up and taking action, the progressives are all up in arms about this. They will use all types of fear mongering to silence the conservatives. That is the only way that they will be successful in their goal to convert the US into a socialist country.
God bless Glenn Beck.
What’s irresponsible is claiming people are trying to steal the country and that they must be stopped. What’s comical is that you apparently buy it.
Jammer, are you for real or are you being sarcastic? Activist Supreme Courts run by progressives? Is this the same Court that ruled on free speech for corporations? And progressive presidents? Are we talking about our progressive George W. Bush who did either nothing or exacerbated every serious problem our country faced during his eight years? This includes wars, health reform, financial reform, energy reform, education reform, and so on and so on.
And if you look at the make-up of Congress, it is overwhelmingly elderly white men, which is not the make-up of the population of our country. The average age of a Senator is 69 and we all know that elderly white men vote conservative. But then we all know that your post is not bases on anything factual.
We have a long history of a progressive activist Supreme Court. The case that probably caused this country the most harm was the Butler case in the 1930’s. That is the same era that experienced the packed court by FDR. So, you can plead ignorance on the subject if you would like. However, we have a checkered history of this in our country.
As for trying to imply that George Bush was a conservative is a stretch. His spending policies were truly a disappointment. Out of control spending is destroying this country. We just can no longer live beyond our means. Merely putting an R by your name does not make you a true conservative.
You realize conservatives courts have been among the most activist in history, right? Judicial activism includes overturning precedent, which conservative courts have done incredibly frequently.
And those horrible progressive courts have also accomplished some great things, which even you must admit.
