That was a very good post Dr. I had not seen this before and I am glad I looked at it. Senator Thune’s comments were certainly encouraging. I think he is directionally correct. Spending is at the heart of our problem and unless we get it under control, nothing else matters.

In listening to his interview, I really only had one minor objection. He said that we had to elect more Republicans this November. My caution with that is just merely because somebody has an R by their name doesn’t automatically mean they are a true conservative. And while we are much more likely to get a person with conservative principles if we elect Republicans, I think we need to drill down to a candidate’s true core values. It is only true conservative values and principles that will get us back on the right track.
