Coleman went on conservative radio recently and said he knows “God wants me to serve.” Ah snap. Suck it, Franken! Coleman has the G-O-D on his team.

This is a bold statement to make, especially when you are currently losing. If he doesn’t make the comeback, does that mean his god is less powerful than electronic voting machines or chads or whatever? What if Franken were to say God wants him to serve? Then we’d have some craziness, huh? Absolutely ridiculous. There is very little more offensive to me than someone saying they know God’s will and God’s will is that they win. How many athletes say the result of a game will be decided by God then thank him after taking a beating?

Now, when Coleman speaks to a less religiously conservative audience, he simply says he wants to serve. Maybe he knows what he said is moronic and he just understands what his audience wants to hear. Who knows? Maybe he does believe he has some special gift that allows him to access the desires of a deity that is somehow powerless to make said desires come true.

Either way, I wonder if Coleman will thank God for allowing Al Franken to defeat him, because it is happening.

Enjoy A Fraud’s (thanks Torre) demise.

Norm Coleman (as much as I want him to be the victor) is not doing any good for the state of Minnesota. Do the right thing. Daschle did!

By the way the tabloids are calling it A-Roid

Would rather have God on my team than people who think that thug Franken’s misogynist and racist “parody” was funny.

You missed the point. He only believes God is on his team (he most assuredly is not).

Why you refer to Franken as a thug is beyond me.

What piece are you talking about? Try to be more specific. Franken wrote for Saturday Night Live, wrote several books, wrote short stories, and several other things. He is a comedian, and a very funny one.

Again, I believe you completely misinterpreted what the post was about. When you say, “Would rather have God on my team…” it implies that you believe God chooses teams in Senate races in Minnesota. It also implies that you believe that Coleman indeed knows God’s will.

If your name is meant to communicate some feeling you have, specifically that I must be kidding, you are quite mistaken. I am rather serious. Coleman is indeed getting Bushy with it. He needs to disappear.

I truly believe Franken is in this race because he wants to help people and believes he can improve America. Franken has no money issues, something that Coleman must be struggling with (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/12/12/norm-coleman-needed-money_n_150484.html).

God wants me to destroy right-wing arguments and make millions of dollars with this blog.

By Coleman’s (your?) logic, God is now on my team.

Would rather have a man envisioning a better America on my team than a broke, under-investigation hack like Coleman.

    Nice call on A-Roid, Dr.

Franken has no money issues? Like taxes?

Yeah, he paid in the wrong states, then had to pay in the correct ones. His error actually had him overpaying on his taxes.

I guess we should support the guy pulling a Ted Stevens.

Also, this wasn’t the point of the post.
