Tarkov has arrived in LATAM

Escape From Tarkov has launched in the LATAM region, which sees the game get regional pricing to better reflect the economic factors of the region, as well as improved server infrastructure and connections in the region. To celebrate the launch, a Twitch Drops campaign has been launched, as well as the launch of a promo code for free in-game items.
The LATAM region launch has been a long time coming, with many players in the region complaining of the high prices due to having to buy from other parts of the world. This LATAM launch will change the price of Tarkov to just $20 USD for the basic game, with other versions also being reduced to better support players in the region.
Players in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Haiti, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Martinique, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin, Uruguay, French Guiana, Chile and Ecuador will be able to take advantage of the new pricing.
To coincide with this launch, a special LATAM focused Twitch Drops campaign has been launched. From today until March 3, some LATAM-based Tarkov streamers will have drops enabled on their channels. Anyone with a Tarkov account, regardless of where you are in the world, can claim these drops by watching the streamers and following the usual steps to claim a drop. There is no word on what items will be in the drops, but assuming they are similar to the normal start of wipe Twitch Drops we tend to see, there should be some solid loot up for grabs.
Another per of the launch is a brand new promo code that any Escape From Tarkov player will be able to enter in the launcher to get some free in game loot. The new promo code is TARKOVLATAM which will grant you the following in game items when redeemed:

While the launch is no doubt a good thing for Escape From Tarkov players in the LATAM region, some are concerned that this could become a way for cheaters to pick up even cheaper than usual accounts should they get banned. A recent ban wave saw more than 7,000 cheaters taken out in around a month, but even that does not seem to have made much of an impact, with many reports of cheaters still popping up daily.
