Not surprisingly, only two American airlines offer flights to the Caribbean using the Airbus A220. Breeze Airways is the only other carrier operating the A220 alongside JetBlue and Delta.
JetBlue A220s cover the most routes
JetBlue Airways has 122 scheduled flights from its major US hubs to the Caribbean islands this month. The data shows that the airline will be serving four Caribbean airports with its Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
Three routes will be served from the carrier’s main base at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), while the other two routes will be served from JetBlue’s secondary hub at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).

Presently, JetBlue operates a total of 34 Airbus A220 jets, with an average age of 1.5 years, according to ch-aviation data. The carrier’s A220s can accommodate a total of 140 passengers in a two-class configuration: 110 in economy and 30 in economy plus.
JetBlue is currently streamlining its fleet by introducing Airbus A220s to enhance profitability, with plans to retire its Embraer E190s by 2025. Delta Air Lines is the second airline offering flights to the Caribbean using its Airbus A220 fleet this month. The data shows that the Atlanta-based airline will operate 19 flights from New York (LGA) to the Caribbean on its Airbus A220-100 jet.

Delta has a total of 71 Airbus A220s in its fleet, including 45 smaller-capacity A220-100s and 26 A220-300 jets, according to ch-aviation. Notably, the carrier has 74 A220-300s on order. Delta’s A220-100 can seat up to 109 passengers in a three-class configuration: 82 in economy, 15 in economy plus, and 12 in business class.
