The Wilson Center’s Latin America Program, Science and Technology Innovation Program, and Mexico Institute have launched an initiative examining the potential impacts of artificial intelligence (AI) on economic development and productivity in Latin America. The initiative includes the Wilson Center Working Group on AI Governance in Latin America, composed of leading policy, technology, and regulatory experts from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Uruguay, and it involves research, private dialogues, and public events to generate policy ideas to accelerate the responsible development of AI technologies in this region and maximize positive impacts.
Please join us virtually on Thursday, August 29 as the Wilson Center, in partnership with the Eon Institute in Mexico City, hosts an expert discussion on the potential impacts of AI technology on agriculture, health care, and finance in Mexico and throughout Latin America. The discussion will be in Spanish without simultaneous translation.
