Elon Musk’s America PAC has launched its digital advertising campaign to support Donald Trump’s presidential bid, targeting swing-state voters with messages that leave little to the imagination.
One ad on Google’s YouTube platform, viewed over three million times, warns, “If you sit this election out, Kamala and the crazies will win,”. You will be stuck with higher costs and more illegals invading our country.” The ad goes on to portray Trump as an “American Badass,” with a video of the former president after the July assassination attempt that led Musk to publicly support his candidacy.
On Meta’s Facebook, where America PAC has invested heavily, another ad reads, “We must STOP Kamala while we can,” emphasising that “Arizona families have had ENOUGH of radical liberals.” A separate Facebook ad features a voice-over with a Russian accent, declaring, “Meet Comrade Kamala,” and suggesting she is “Ready to bring the Soviet Union to Michigan.”
On X, the platform Musk purchased in 2022 for $44 billion, an ad claims, without evidence, that Trump’s political opponents “tried to kick Trump off your ballot. They even tried to end his campaign and take him out for good,” as reported by Bloomberg.
These ads carry a bold message, urging voters not to sit out the election. America PAC’s ad campaign is part of a larger effort to influence the presidential election, with Musk emerging as one of Trump’s loudest supporters.
Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla, publicly endorsed Donald Trump for the first time in the US presidential race in July this year, calling the Republican former president “tough.”
Musk, the world’s richest person, posted the endorsement with a video of Trump with blood on his face pumping his fist after multiple shots rang out at Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Trump was safe. The posts cement Musk’s shift towards right-wing politics and hand Trump a high-profile backer in his quest to return to the White House in the Nov. 5 election.
Meanwhile, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Thursday he would establish a government efficiency commission headed by billionaire supporter Elon Musk if he wins the Nov. 5 election, during a wide-ranging speech in which he laid out his economic vision for the country.
Speaking at the New York Economic Club, the former president also pledged to slash corporate tax rates for companies that manufacture domestically, establish “low-tax” zones on federal lands where construction companies would be encouraged to build new homes, and start a sovereign wealth fund.
As the US presidential election enters its final stages, attention is concentrated on Elon Musk, the wealthiest individual globally with a net worth of $236.8 billion, and how he will utilise his financial resources and influence to shape the campaign’s outcome, according to a report by Bloomberg.
This week, Donald Trump announced plans to create a task force to examine federal spending, a concept initially proposed by Musk, who serves as the CEO of Tesla Inc. and SpaceX.
According to Meta’s spending tracker, America PAC, affiliated with Musk, has invested approximately $1.4 million in advertising on Facebook and Instagram since its registration in May. In the week concluding September 3, the PAC spent over $251,000 on ads, with a significant concentration in North Carolina, Arizona, and Georgia – three crucial states where some polls indicate Kamala Harris has surpassed Trump in popularity.
