Argenta, 1907: In what is today North Little Rock sat the stone quarry and “Big Rock.” At the top sat Fort Roots, an active U.S. Army post. The train tracks are long gone and the path is occupied in part today by the River Trail, the vision of former Mayor Patrick Henry Hayes and other leaders.
