Arizona GOP U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake’s daughter was accosted this past week during an Arizona State University voter registration drive.
Lake and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk also made appearances on campus for voter registration efforts.
According to the Arizona Globe, Ruby Halperin was manning a voter registration table when, in her words, a “radical leftist” tossed a “whole beverage” on her and then took off.
The drink not only soaked Halperin and her “Republicans are Hotter” t-shirt, but also the table and the contents of her clipboard.
“Today, while I was registering voters at ASU, a radical leftist threw a drink at me and ran away,” Halperin told the Globe. “I was shocked, then a little bit angry, but now, I’m proud. Because I realized that this means they know they’re losing.
“This isn’t about my mom. This isn’t about President Trump. This is about us, the young generation, breaking free from all of the liberal indoctrination we’ve been receiving, thinking for ourselves, and proudly declaring that we’re ready to put America First.”

THIS IS THE LEFT.
They know we are winning this election and it scares them.

In response to the incident, Lake posted on X “Where is the news media in giving this coverage?? If the tables were turned and a young Democrat was registering other students to vote and a Republican poured a bottle of soda on that Democrat student the news media would be ALL OVER THIS.”
Lake alleged the culprit was frustrated because Democrats are “losing the young vote” and “thousands of kids at every university are registering Republican.”
Halperin said the incident only stiffened her resolve: “I’m going to put my head down and work ten times harder until we deliver President Trump, my mom, and the entire AZ GOP ticket a huge victory on November 5th.”
An ASU spokesperson told the Globe it was “looking into” the matter: “If a student was involved and identified, we will address it via the Student Code of Conduct.”
The State Press reports Lake and Kirk appeared at a rally at the ASU Memorial Union where attendees could get free t-shirts, hats and copies of Kirk’s book “Right Wing Revolution: How to Beat the Woke and Save the West.”
