The United Nations said at least 70 people, including three infants, have been killed in a major gang attack on a small village in Haiti on October 3. Armed men swept through Central Haiti’s Pont Sonde, shooting automatic weapons and setting fire to houses and vehicles. In response to one of the deadliest armed attacks in the country in recent years, Haitian Prime Minister Garry Conille embarked on a trip to the United Arab Emirates and Kenya this weekend to seek security assistance.
