Denver Riggleman, a former Congressman who was a senior technical adviser for the House Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 Attack on the Capitol, knows where the MAGA bodies are buried.
As the guy who collected and analyzed text messages, emails and other communications, he is intimately aware of the insurrection involvement of every actor — from Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, to former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to two-faced Fox News anchors.
On Saturday, Riggleman commented on a photo of hundreds of Trump supporters — led by Eric Trump — who gathered for the ReAwaken America Tour in Selma, N.C.
“This is mass derangement captured on camera,” Riggleman tweeted. “Everyone single person in this picture is QAnon specific or adjacent, believes the 2020 election was stolen and applauds the criminals, insurrectionists and ne’er-do-wells that besieged the Capitol on January 6, 2021.”
Riggleman then tweeted a photo of Jim Jones, the leader of the Peoples Temple cult who orchestrated a mass suicide in Jonestown, Guyana, in 1978.
According to Media Matters, the Selma weekend event features “right-wing commentators who have pushed the conspiracy theory that Hurricane Helene was a controlled or manipulated weather event. The tour’s organizers, who have close ties to the Trump team, have claimed that ‘weather manipulation is real’ and said the recent storm proves ‘the globalists are pulling out all the stops.’”
Conspiracy theorist Mike Flynn, who served as Trump’s national security adviser until he was caught lying to the FBI, is a co-founder of the group. Trump pardoned Flynn.
Riggleman constantly plays defense against lies, misinformation and kooky conspiracy theories. When Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared on disgraced podcaster Alex Jones’ show on Friday to spit out the tired, debunked and costly allegations against Dominion voting machines, Riggleman pounced.
“First, anyone who goes on Alex Jones is a moron,” he tweeted. “Second, anyone pushing the same QAnon based conspiracies that have been thoroughly debunked and laughed at should be committed. Third, she’s so radicalized and challenged she doesn’t know how stupid she is.”
Recently, Riggleman blamed Georgia voters for electing Greene: “A representative elected by the fine folks of Georgia. The voters are to blame,” he tweeted. “A mob of stupid swarming her district — Superstition, religion and ignorance blended into the perfect mix of screaming batshittery. Our county is permanently infected with at least 30% pure insanity.”
