A viral video that supposedly shows an immigrant admitting he and others illegally voted for Vice President Kamala Harris was actually Russian disinformation.
U.S. intelligence officials determined Russian “influence actors” were behind the video, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the FBI, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency jointly announced on Friday.
The video shows a man claiming he and others in the video are from Haiti, have been in the United STates for six months, obtained citizenship, and are now voting for Harris in multiple counties.“Yesterday, we voted in Gwinnett County, and today we’re voting in Fulton County,” adding, “We have all our documents, driver’s license. We invite all Haitians to come to America and bring families.”
