At a rally in Kinston, North Carolina, on Sunday, Trump claimed that the United States will crumble without him in office, warning that it will become “Venezuela on steroids.”
“We have to stop what’s going on — we’re not going to have a country anymore. This will be Venezuela on steroids,” Trump said.
Earlier in the rally, Trump railed against illegal immigration and said that if he is elected, he would conduct the largest deportation operation in U.S. history. He said that Election Day on Tuesday will be “liberation day” in the U.S.
“On day one, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history,” Trump said, as the crowd cheered. “I will rescue every city and town that has been invaded and conquered.”
Trump also vowed to imprison illegal immigrants who return from being deported for a decade without parole and touted his other policy positions involving immigration.
“And I am hereby calling for the death penalty for any migrant that kills an American citizen or law enforcement officer,” he said. “And I will immediately ban all sanctuary cities in the United States of America.”
Trump has another rally in Georgia later on Sunday.
