Lionel Messi and Argentina will play Ecuador in the Quarter-Finals of the 2024 Copa America Final Stage on Thursday, July 4 (7/4/2024) at the NRG Stadium in Houston, TX. The match starts at 9:00 p.m. ET.
After sustaining a right groin/adductor injury (via USA Today) during the match against Argentina and Chile at the MetLife Stadium on June 15, Messi sat out during Saturday’s (June 29) match against Peru, where Argentina came out on top regardless, 2-0.
According to ESPN, Messi is back training ahead of the Quarter-Finals against Ecuador, so fans can hopefully get the chance to see him in action.
Ecuador most recently faced off against Mexico in Matchday 3 on June 30, which ended in a draw 0-0.
