Latin flair will be on show
The Copa America will commence on June 20 in the USA featuring some of the top football playing nations in Latin America. It will also feature some of the best players in the world in teams like Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. Fans in Goa are awaiting the start of this championship with great interest. Many of them had definite ideas of whom they intended to follow and support. A few were more than willing to state their preferences

Predicting the winner of Copa America 2024 is tough , but with the current analysis & former games , I have a gut feeling that Argentina will win , due to their recent successes & strong form having won the World Cup in 2022 & showing consistent performance in recent matches.

I would like to think that Argentina start as firm favourites for the Copa America cup 2024… The reason being, that they are also the current reigning world champions… The core nucleus of the team would remain the same with a good blend of young talent and experience…. Would be nice to see them do the unique double winning both the major tournaments on the bounce. Looking forward to that.

I am excited to see the Samba Boys, Brazil will do magic with the ball into the nets of their opponents and will surely win this year’s Copa America title. My favourite team is Brazil Forca Brasil.

Argentina are my favourites to Lift 2024 Copa America. Argentina have won both the previous Copa America and World Cup, and will now go into this competition full of confidence. With Star players like Lionel Messi, treble-winner Julian Alvarez, Alexis Mcallister, Paulo Dybala, their squad is incredibly well-balanced, and their manager, Lionel Scaloni, with his all experience in big tournaments, having not just won the World Cup and Copa America already with Argentina but also the La Liga and Copa Del Rey with Deportivo La Coruna.

The Copa America is a stage where the best of South American football collide, and Argentina, with its rich history and talent, stands as a perennial favorite to lift the trophy.

Copa America is one of the most prestigious football tournaments in South America, featuring national teams from across the continent. The tournament showcases high-level competition and has a rich history. As for the favorites to win the tournament, historically strong teams like Brazil and Argentina are usually considered top contenders. Brazil boasts a deep talent pool and a history of success in the competition. Argentina, led by world-class players, also has a strong track record and recent successes, including winning the 2021 Copa America.
Other teams like Uruguay and Colombia can also pose significant challenges, given their competitive squads and past performances. Omi, musician & sports enthusiast As Copa America approaches, my heart beats with excitement and hope for Brazil. From the mesmerizing footwork of Neymar to the rock-solid defense led by Marquinhos, this team embodies the spirit and flair of Brazilian football. Every goal, every victory feels like a personal triumph. I’m ready to cheer, celebrate, and stand by the team through every moment of this tournament.
Vamos, Brasil! Together, I believe and support our champions !!!

I will be supporting Messi all the way in this year, COPA, America and definitely they will start as the favourites, but I think Brazil will give them a competition.

I think COPA America is one of the biggest tournaments in the world after the FIFA World Cup and the Euros. As you know the biggest power houses of American football, Brazil and Argentina, and they will definitely start as the favourites, but we cannot discount the other good sides like Mexico and Colombia not forgetting the Chileans. I think Argentina are favourites to win this year’s title.

Argentina are a juggernaut, especially while Lionel Messi takes the pitch. Yet even when the 36-year-old does not play, they still have the depth of talent to make up for it and defend the Copa America 24.

Argentina are the big favourites of winning the tournament and retaining their crown. As defending champions of both this competition and the FIFA World Cup, Argentina are huge favorites to win the 2024 Copa America with the star studded team that they have .

When you think about COPA, America and South American football, you cannot ignore the awesome commentary in the local language, especially when the goal is scored. This kind of experience is unmatchable by any other Football action in the world, and that’s why I’m looking forward to watching this incredible tournament happening once again. My money is on Brazil all the way Although Argentina will be a tough challenge. Brazil has got a good squad of youngsters. An amazing talent playing in the top Leagues around the world, and I think they will have an edge over others.

No South American side is more primed for a shock run through this tournament than Uruguay. Under Marcelo Bielsa’s leadership, Uruguay beat both Brazil and Argentina last fall in World Cup qualifying, as La Celeste have kicked into gear.Uruguay could very easily emerge from the Brazil/USA side of the bracket to meet Argentina in the final, and having beaten the reigning World Cup champions just last fall, they will be a formidable opponent and one who could find its way back to the top of the South American pecking order.

World Cup hero Lionel Messi leads the defending champions Argentina into what they hope will be a third straight major title in six years is something I would be personally looking at considering the team they have defending their title.

For a nation of Brazil’s football pedigree, their long wait for a major trophy at senior level has become an increasing weight around their necks. Despite Neymar missing out, coach Dorival Júnior still has an enviable array of attacking talents to call upon. The likes of Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo and Raphinha provide flair and goals, although questions persist about the defence that has proven fallible in recent years. Having fallen short too often, such as at the last two World Cups, the Selecao will be determined to re-establish itself as the pre-eminent force in South American football. An extremely motivated and talented squad will feel this is their chance to end the drought with this Copa America title.

Argentina understandably enter this tournament as the favourites to retain their crown. Lionel Messi continues to shine as brightly as ever, leading a supremely talented squad ably supported by the likes of Julián Álvarez, Ángel Di María and Rodrigo De Paul. Under Lionel Scaloni’s astute management, La Albiceleste have been in imperious form over the last 18 months, blending flair with steely defensive organization. With Messi showing no signs of slowing down at 36, Argentina will back themselves to follow up their long-awaited World Cup triumph by securing more glory.
Steve D’Souza, business
The Argentinians left no doubt about their quality in either of their last two international competitions. Messi might be older and in the last few years of his career, but he’s surrounded by players with immense quality in all three levels of the squad. So my strong favourites to win the Copa America will be Argentina.
