Aruba Airport is pleased to share updates to its winter flight schedule, offering enhanced connectivity and expanded options for travelers to key international destinations. The schedule features additional flights from the United States, Canada, and Latin America, underscoring the airport’s dedication to meeting travel demand during the peak winter season.
As part of these updates, Aruba Airport is also presenting its forecasted year-over-year seat capacity data. The projections highlight notable growth in certain regions while acknowledging minor declines in others, aligning with evolving travel trends for the 2024-2025 winter season compared to the previous year.
United States:
American Airlines will resume its Chicago O’Hare (ORD) service in November, with one Saturday flight. The airline will also add an additional frequency to its Philadelphia (PHL) route, increasing from daily service to eight weekly flights, with two on Saturdays. Seasonal flights from LaGuardia (LGA) and Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) will return in December with weekly Saturday service.
United Airlines will expand its Washington Dulles (IAD) route to daily service by adding six additional weekly flights. Seasonal service from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) will also resume in November.
Delta Air Lines will restart its seasonal Boston (BOS) service with daily flights beginning on December 19. Additionally, Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) service will return on December 19 with two weekly flights on Fridays and Sundays.
Sun Country Airlines will reinstate its seasonal Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) service in December, with one weekly Saturday flight.
Forecasted Change: Seat capacity numbers from the U.S. are expected to see a slight decline, down 1% from last winter, with 546,875 travelers forecasted for 2024-2025, compared to 552,474 in 2023-2024.
Canada:
Air Canada will restart its Toronto (YYZ) service in October, initially with one weekly flight, increasing to four weekly flights in November.
Sunwing will adjust its flight schedule, shifting from Monday service to Saturday service during the winter season.
Forecasted Change: Canadian travel demand is projected to grow by 8%, with 46,878 seats expected this season, up from 43,594 last winter.
Latin America:
Wingo will change its schedule, now operating flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
LATAM will increase its Lima (LIM) service by adding an additional flight, expanding from four to five weekly flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
GOL will celebrate the inaugural flight of its new São Paulo (GRU) route with three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays starting in December of this year.
Forecasted Change: Seat capacity numbers from Latin America are expected to rise by 6%, with 132,246 seats projected this season, up from 125,240 last winter.
Europe and Caribbean Regions
European seat capacity numbers are forecasted to decline by 21%, with a projected 61,980 seats, down from 78,255 last year, due to shifts in European market demand.
The Caribbean region is expected to remain stable, with minimal variation at 54,811 seats, compared to 55,074 last winter.
