Hilton Aruba Resort & Casino remains open during construction: Travel Weekly

The Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino is undergoing a $100 million enhancement that includes the addition of a 161-unit oceanfront tower. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2025.

The tower, which faces Palm Beach, will include 18 oceanfront suites that are part of seven room and suite categories and operate as an elevated hotel-within-a-hotel experience, according to the resort, incorporating midcentury-modern design elements and featuring swim-up pools as well as an exclusive adults-only rooftop club.

Guestrooms and suites in the resort’s existing Bonaire and Curacao towers will receive a refresh. The Bonaire Tower work will be completed by early September, the Curacao by early December. Guestrooms and the lobby of the Aruba Tower have undergone refurbishment.

During construction, the south pool from the bridge to the Curacao Tower will be closed and cabanas A through J will not be available. Select rooms with direct access to the project area will be closed.

New dining choices

As part of the enhancement project, the property is also introducing new dining concepts over the next two years. Its breakfast restaurant, Laguna, is now also serving dinner. The former Gilligan’s will reopen as Shore Club the middle of next year. During the restaurant construction, the Miramar Garden will be open for lunch and beach bites, offering options including a food truck, BBQ, a pop-up bar, pool and beach food and drink service.

The resort redesigned the former, outdoor bar and lounge Mira Solo, which is now called Sunset Bar. Sunset Grille, the resort’s fine dining restaurant, will debut a revamped design when it reopens this fall.

Resort general manager Lawrence Tuck emphasized that the property remains open while work is being done and assures guests they can expect the same level of service and hospitality they are used to at the resort.

Renovation updates are available at the resort’s website.

The Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino currently offers 358 guestrooms and suites; five dining options; a spa that includes amenities like cold plunge pools and a tranquil spa garden; and 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
