What happens at Fly Like a Girl days?
More than 100 participants enjoyed a series of hands-on activities, demonstrations and educational stations with JetBlue crewmembers, including ten female pilots, brand design managers, technical operators and others from various roles. While that must have been fun and informative, the tour of an Airbus A321 and the ground operations facilities, like the baggage and cargo areas, may have been the highlights at the home dinner table that night.

Caribbean Airlines also serves the route.
The Fly Like a Girl event brings JetBlue crewmembers and communities together to share the joy and excitement that aviation offers. Anyone who has walked around or under a commercial airliner, like the Airbus A321, knows how special that feeling is, something that JetBlue’s vice president of Corporate Social Responsibility and DEI, Icema Gibbs, touched on when she said:
“One of the most proactive ways we can fulfill JetBlue’s mission to bring humanity back to air travel is to inspire future aviators by showing them the many career pathways in our industry, the level of diverse representation we have at JetBlue and the work we are doing to foster inclusivity in aviation.”

A sign of JetBlue’s commitment to Boston and New England
Holding the event in Boston came soon after the low-cost carrier announced it was investing and growing across New England by adding 20% more seats by this winter. JetBlue offers the most mainline service from Boston, with approximately 30% more seats than the next largest carrier, the most nonstop destinations and the most flights from Boston and New England to California, Florida and the Caribbean.

The carrier will increase the frequency of its flights to Bozeman and introduce its Mint service on the routes.
The airline has served Boston Logan International (BOS) for more than 30 years and it is growing its focus from BOS to popular vacation destinations, including Aruba, Barbados, Cancún, Grand Cayman, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Liberia, Miami, Montego Bay, Nassau, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Punta Cana, Providenciales, Sarasota, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Tampa and more.
It will also add a second daily flight from Boston to Phoenix, which will, for the first time on the route, feature the premium Mint service, which will be offered on all flights between the two cities. This winter, JetBlue will nearly triple seats in Providence compared to last winter, and Hartford will see a 30% increase over the same period. Added to new services in Manchester, the airline will average 18 new daily departures from New England this winter, with six new routes between New England and the Sunshine State.
