Lindsay Shiver, a former beauty queen who is accused of plotting to kill her estranged husband, is set to be released from prison on bail for the second time ahead of her trial.
According to Shiver’s lawyer, Ian Cargill, per ABC affiliate WDHN, she will be released on bail from Fox Hill Prison in Nassau, on Thursday, February 13. Cargill also said that her trial, scheduled for March, has been pushed back to August. Good Morning America has reported that her bail stands at $100,000.
GMA shared that although the Georgia mom, 37, is still facing “major charges,” she will be allowed to return to the U.S. ahead of her trial. Shiver will stand trial alongside her former boyfriend Terrance Bethel, 30, and the suspected hitman Farron Newbold Jr., 30.
She was initially arrested in July 2023 alongside Bethel after police claimed she was connected to an alleged murder plot targeting her husband, Robert. Shiver and Bethel have denied the existence of a murder plot and maintain that Newbold is not a hired hitman.
At the time, the Bahamas Court News reported that they were arrested after police say they learned of the alleged murder plot while investigating a separate break-in. While searching the phone of a suspect in the break-in case, officers reportedly saw WhatsApp messages laying out the alleged plot to kill Shiver’s husband, the outlet reported.

“On July 16, 2023 at Abaco [an island in the Bahamas], [the defendants,] while being together did, with a common purpose agree to commit an offense, namely the murder of Richard Shiver,” police said, according to a July 29, 2023 report from the Thomasville Times-Enterprise.
Per the police report at the time, as cited by GMA, Shiver admitted to sending a text message that said “kill him” alongside a photo of her estranged husband.
According to the Thomasville Times-Enterprise, Robert Shiver reportedly filed for divorce after he found out about his wife’s alleged affair with Bethel.
As reported by WDHN, Shiver and Bethel had their bonds revoked and were re-arrested in late October 2024 after a judge claimed that they had violated the conditions of the Bahamas’ pre-trial restrictions by conducting media interviews.
Per the outlet, it is unknown why the pair have been granted a second chance at bail but, according to Cargill, Shiver’s lawyer, the original bail conditions will apply so she can return to Georgia to await trial.

While out on bail the first time, the pair conducted an interview with GMA in which they denied the existence of a murder plot, per WDHN.
“Nobody ever wanted him dead,” Bethel said in the interview. “I’m definitely not guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, and Faron’s not guilty of being a hired hitman. It’s time to let the world know we’re innocent,” she said, according to the outlet.
