The Routes team explore what delegates can expect during the event after our recent site visit to the Bahamas.
Routes Americas 2025 will take place in Nassau & Paradise Island, Bahamas between 10-12 February. Prior to the event, the Routes team conducted numerous site visits to the destination to meet with the hosts, visit the venue where over 3,000 meetings will take place to define air connectivity and explore the fantastic opportunities that delegates can experience during their time in The Bahamas, including numerous networking events.
Members of our Host and Event Management team recently visited the increasingly popular tourism destination and shared their experience and recommendations with future Routes Americas 2025 delegates.
Who did you meet with?
During the visit I had the pleasure of meeting with our Routes Americas 2025 host team and their committees from the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board, Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Nassau Airport Development Co. I also was able to meet our local partners to map out our event requirements for the Hotel, AV, Caterers and Networking Evening locations.
What can you tell us about the venue?
The event will be taking place within the event space of the iconic Atlantis Paradise Island resort. The venue is well placed for those staying in close proximity and has previously hosted many prestigious events. The space is perfect for our Routes Americas event as it has excellent facilities to accommodate our Exhibitions, Meeting Halls and Conference. Additionally aligned with our sustainability initiatives, this venue has many practices in place to support the community.
Where did you stay?
During the visit I stayed onsite at the Atlantis Paradise Island within The Coral. The Coral is the nearest to the convention center, being situated less than a 5-minute walk through the hotel space to the exhibition! The Atlantis property also has a further four hotels you can stay at including The Royal , The Cove, The Reef and Harborside Resort, providing many accommodation options to sit all travellers. Onsite there are many restaurants, attractions and shops to discover. The resort is also not far from many key attractions and sites to see, making it a great base to explore and move around the island!
What did you see?
During my time in The Bahamas, we visited a couple of locations which would be available to delegates on the complimentary tours and networking locations – which are sure to be exciting! I was able to experience the beauty of the island from its breathtaking beaches, to its fantastic cuisines and historical sites. Along with the beauty of the ocean, the island has many other places to discover, such as the remarkable Nassau cruise port following its transformation, the Graycliff hotel with several attractions and the local food in Arawak Cay.
What is one thing you would recommend our delegates must do when they attend the event?
During the event the delegates must ensure they go and experience the amazing Junkanoo parade that happens each week in Marina village! It was truly remarkable to experience the amazing energy, costumes and music of Bahamian culture in the parade. I was able to watch this when I was there with my colleagues, it was an absolutely electric atmosphere to be part of.
Hosted by Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board in partnership with Nassau Airport Development Company, and The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, Routes Americas 2025 is set to be an experience to remember. Delegates can expect to secure new business opportunities, connect with the route development community and explore a beautiful destination. Registration is now open, confirm your place today.
