In the Uruguayan coach’s own words, he said: “the departure was a surprise, we were preparing the training for Tuesday and just when I went to Fermani’s office (Nacional’s Sporting Director) he told me that he was not going to continue. There we had a chat for a while and I asked him for the reasons that I did not understand, and he told me that he did not agree with the team’s game. I kept on insisting but he didn’t agree with me, and that was the reason for my departure”.

This friendly game against Club América will be the first under Mexican coach Efraín Juárez.
