Following a global system outage which lasted for almost a full week, MoneyGram International says customers are now able to make international payments and transfers via its website and app.
In a post on Facebook and X Thursday morning, the company said customers can send and receive money through its digital platforms and agent partners.
The international remittance company says it continues to work diligently to fulfill pending transactions in its systems.
On September 21, the company confirmed that a cybersecurity issue was behind its downed systems.
Customers had reported not being able to send or receive money through the Moneygram’s physical and online channels since last Thursday.
The outage was reported across the Caribbean, including Jamaica, Barbados and St. Vincent and the Grenadines as well as North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
MoneyGram serves more than 50 million people in over 200 countries and territories each year, processing more than $200 billion annually.
