Patrick Singleton, Sports Director at the Coral Beach & Tennis Club, said, “This tournament’s remarkable growth reflects Bermuda’s historic connection to tennis in the Americas.

“Few people realize that Bermuda played a pivotal role in bringing tennis to the United States in 1874, and Bermudians were instrumental in establishing the USTA in 1881. Today, we’re proud to be one of the few venues outside the United States authorized to host USTA National Championships.

“The quality of tennis that spectators will witness during tournament week will be exceptional, with multiple world-ranked players competing. Events like this significantly boost Bermuda’s sports tourism profile, bringing visitors to the island during our shoulder season and showcasing Bermuda as a premier tennis destination.”

The spokesperson said, “The Coral Beach & Tennis Club’s unique status as an international USTA championship venue adds prestige event.”

Tournament Director Monika Rowat said, “The caliber of this year’s field is extraordinary. Tennis fans will witness world-class competition across all age divisions, from 30s through 70s, in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events.”

Men’s Competition:

Singles and Doubles: Open, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, and 75+ [with 75+ featuring the tournament’s largest draw]

Women’s Competition:

Singles: Open, 40+, 50+, 55+, and 65+
Doubles: 40+, 50+, 60+, and 65+

Mixed Doubles: Open, 40+, 50+, and 60+

“The tournament has received tremendous support from sponsors. The Bermuda Tourism Authority has been instrumental in promoting this prestigious event. Butterfield & Vallis, Goslings, and BGA have provided essential backing. BermudAir and Current Vehicles are offering special discounts to players, while Coco Reef and Azura hotels are providing preferential rates for tournament participants.

“For more information about the tournament, you can call the tennis shop on 239 7216 or email [email protected], or go online.”
