Wisconsin’s George Kneiser and Kentucky’s Cooper Musselman shared medalist honors at 6-under, with eight players tying for third at 5-under. That required an 8-for-2 playoff, contested in two foursomes, in which Martin Trainer and Henrik Norlander advanced with birdies on the first extra hole, the par-4 18th at Bermuda Run Country Club. Those to fall short in the playoff included reigning Masters and U.S. Open low amateur Neal Shipley, whose tee shot went out of bounds on the playoff hole, along with Spencer Cross, Kyle Cottam, Austin Duncan, George Duangmanee and Brandon Berry.
