Bolivia’s state power company Ende launched a second bidding process to advance development of the 600MW Rositas hydro project.
The consultancy work covers social management and the environmental impact evaluation study.
The original process was declared void due to errors in the procurement documents.
Offers for the 24mn-boliviano (US$3.5mn), 210-day contract are now due by September 16, according to bidding information available in the Documents box in the top-right corner of the screen.
The project is planned for the Grande river, downstream of its confluence with the Rositas river and 16km upstream from the Abapó community, spanning the departments of Santa Cruz and Chuquisaca.
Preliminary information highlights that Rositas would include a clay core earth dam, river diversion tunnels, a spillway, water intakes and a machine house to hold four turbines.
