Brazil attacker Luiz Henrique is expected to retain his spot in the side for Tuesday’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against Paraguay.
Henrique’s inclusion would leave Real Madrid youngster Endrick to settle for a place on the bench for the second game in a row.
In fact, Brazil boss Dorival Junior could be tempted to select the same lineup that started the recent 1-0 home win over Ecuador.
However, Dorival is unable to call upon the injured quartet of Savinho, Yan Couto, Pedro and Eder Militao, who all withdrew from the squad before Friday’s victory.
Liverpool’s Alisson Becker remains Dorival’s first-choice goalkeeper, ensuring Manchester City’s Ederson has to be content with being the backup option.
With Militao sidelined, Gabriel Magalhaes will continue in central defence alongside Marquinhos, while Danilo and Guilherme Arana are set to operate as the two full-backs.
In all-Premier League midfield, Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Andre will look to shield the backline, while West Ham United’s Lucas Paqueta will be given the license to support the front three.
Former Betis winger Henrique made his international debut against Ecuador and is set to retain his place on the right flank for Tuesday’s trip to Asuncion.
Henrique will be joined in attack by the Real Madrid duo of Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior, with the latter looking to score in a game against Paraguay for the second time this year after netting a brace in a 4-1 victory at the 2024 Copa America.
