International sports-focused streaming service DAZN has announced the agreement of a new deal with ATP Media, the commercial arm of elite men’s tennis’ ATP, to distribute its Tennis TV streaming service in several Central and South American territories.

DAZN will carry Tennis TV on its service in the Caribbean, in Brazil, and across Latin America, providing local language coverage in both Portuguese and Latin American-dialect Spanish for the first time for ATP tennis in the region.

Tennis TV’s offering in the territories on DAZN will include over 60 tournaments a year from the ATP Tour, including its top-line ATP 1000 events, its secondary and tertiary ATP 500 and ATP 250 tournaments, and its showpiece season-ending ATP Finals.

Stuart Taylor, director of consumer streaming at ATP Media, stated of the logic behind the deal: “We are extremely excited to partner with DAZN to distribute this localized version of Tennis TV to tennis fans in this region. ATP Media prides itself on streaming innovation and partnering with DAZN is a perfect fit for the service and will help further elevate the ATP Tour in these markets.”

Classic matches, shoulder programming around tournaments, and ancillary content are also included as part of the Tennis TV package which will be available as a standalone channel separate to the standard DAZN content subscription.

Tennis TV is one of a number of standalone channels based on major global sports properties that are now hosted on DAZN. Other examples include the NFL’s NFL Game Pass.

Shay Segev, the chief executive of DAZN, outlined the importance of the addition of such channels to DAZN’s strategy, saying: “The addition of Tennis TV to the platform represents a significant addition to our tech-led DAZN Channels business. The ATP Tour is one of the most iconic properties in world sport, so to be able to use DAZN’s technology, distribution, and marketing capabilities to broaden the reach of this premium product and deliver thrilling tennis to existing tennis fans and reach new ones, is a fantastic opportunity for DAZN and ATP Media.

“The launch of Tennis TV on DAZN offers fans across Latin America, Brazil, and the Caribbean the choice, accessibility, and flexibility they want with new and exclusive ways to follow the action from the ATP Tour. DAZN is committed to building a platform that delivers on growth potential by fully engaging international fans.”
