The cyclone made landfall in three areas: Buras in Louisiana, along the Louisiana-Mississippi border, and at Keating Beach in Florida. New Orleans was the city most affected by the cyclone, with flooding, structural collapses, and breached levees. Hurricane Irma (2007)

Hurricane Harvey (2017)

Between August and September 2017, the hurricane hit Texas and Louisiana. Formed from tropical waves off the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea, the phenomenon affected several islands in the area (including Barbados and Saint Vincent), classified as a type 4 hurricane. The first city to be hit was Rockport. For this reason, it is remembered as the most significant environmental disaster in Texas history, with a toll of 107 victims and more than 100 billion dollars in damages.

Hurricane Allen (1980)

Hurricane Allen is still remembered as the strongest hurricane of all time. It hit the Gulf of Mexico coast in August 1980, causing enormous environmental damage with winds reaching up to 305 km/h. Allen had an extreme impact on the Gulf of Mexico coast. The total number of victims was 269.

Hurricane Camille (1969)

Among the most disastrous hurricanes in the history of the United States is 'Camille,' a tropical cyclone that devastated the country in the summer of 1969 with maximum winds reaching 300-320 km/h. There were 259 victims and enormous material damages.
