Air Canada Adds New US And Europe Flights For Summer 2025

Air Canada is planning a bumper summer of flying next year, with more than 100,000 weekly seats to Europe and 160,000 to the US during the peak months. The full-service carrier will also add seasonal flights to key Asian markets, such as Seoul (South Korea) and Osaka (Japan), providing convenient, nonstop options between the East Coast of North America and the Asia-Pacific region.

More Transborder flights with new routes

On Wednesday, Air Canada released details of its Summer 2025 offerings, which included a flurry of additions to Transborder, European and Caribbean services. Adding more than 260,000 weekly peak-time seats will give Canadians more options to explore both sides of the Atlantic.

While a lot is happening on international routes, domestically, Air Canada will operate more than 75,000 daily seats and 600 daily flights to 50 airports across Canada, offering more flights than any other carrier. With a global network spanning more than 145 destinations across six continents and more than 150 air and intermodal partners, the airline offers excellent connectivity for travel worldwide.

Air Canada is also resuming the only nonstop service from Toronto to Jacksonville, a year-round daily route starting May 22, 2025. For Summer 2025, Air Canada will add extra daily frequencies from Toronto to Indianapolis, Boston, Tampa and Dallas-Fort Worth.

From Montreal, an extra daily flight will be added to Dever, Nashville, and Raleigh-Durham, as well as an increase in flights to Tampa to daily from three times weekly. With more than 200 daily flights to more than 45 destinations in Summer 2025, Air Canada continues to be the largest carrier serving the Transborder market.

The Transborder flights are timed to allow for easy connections with the airline’s international network at major hubs. This enables passengers returning to the US to save time on arrival while enjoying the convenience of US customs pre-clearance during their connection in Canada.

A summer of possibilities for Canadians

Among the new and restored European routes is the much-anticipated return of the Ottawa to London Heathrow service, restarting Air Canada’s intercontinental flying for the nation’s capital. From March 31 to October 23, flight AC888 will depart Ottawa on Mondays and Thursdays at 18:40 and arrive in London at 06:30 the following day, while between April 2 and October 22, it will leave Ottawa on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 20:55.

Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada, said that by leveraging its hubs in Toronto and Montreal, the airline would offer more than 100,000 weekly seats to 30 destinations across Europe and North Africa at the peak of next summer.

“This will include new services from Montreal to Naples and the Amalfi Coast (Italy), as well as Porto and the Douro Valley (Portugal), opening up new regions for travelers to explore throughout Southern Europe that complement existing services across the Mediterranean and the Iberian Penisula.”

Air Canada is also returning to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, while adding up to four weekly services between Toronto and Stockholm (Sweden). The route between Toronto and Madrid will increase to a daily service, and to Paris, Air Canada will deploy Boeing 777-300ERs from both Toronto and Montreal to offer up to 1,300 daily seats on three daily flights to the French capital.
