Discover America Canada, an organization that aims to develop and facilitate the promotion of tourism to the U.S, hosted an exclusive summer garden party event for members at the residence of U.S. Consul General Baxter Hunt and his wife Deb Derek.
A welcome address was given by Consul General Hunt, who recognized the hard work that committee members continually do to promote travel destinations and unique experiences throughout the U.S.
“We are so delighted to have the Discover America Canada committee here,” said Hunt. “You are the people who continually do so much to support tourism and the travel industry to the United States.”
Board member Sana Keller also shared Discover America updates and plans for the remainder of 2024 and thanked sponsors Expedia Media Solutions, Snowbird Advisor and the Hawaiian Islands before members continued to enjoy the food, US wines and networking with fellow members.
Discover America Media Day 2024 will also take place on Oct. 30 and supplier registration is filling up quickly for the annual event.
This years’ prime co-sponsors are Visit Central Florida and Visit Detroit, breakfast sponsor is the Travelweek Group and lunch will be sponsored by Expedia Media Solutions.
