Oasis Pleases Fans With Reunion Tour Announcement for US, Canada and Mexico

Oasis announced on Monday that its surprise reunion tour announced last month will extend to the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

The tour will mark the Gallagher brothers’ first North American shows since their split in 2009.

The iconic Britpop group, known for anthems like “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” has revealed plans to take the stage in five major cities across the continent in 2025.

“America. Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along,” the band said.

The newly added North American dates will take place in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Mexico City, with American rock band Cage the Elephant slated to open for them.

Last month’s U.K. ticket sales were met with backlash, after fans faced frustrating error messages, extensive online waiting times, and dynamic pricing that fluctuated due to high demand.

In response, an Oasis management spokesperson announced that the dynamic pricing model used by Ticketmaster would not apply to North American concerts.

“When unprecedented ticket demand—where the entire tour could be sold many times over at the moment tickets go on sale—is combined with technology that cannot cope with that demand, it leads to an unacceptable experience for fans,” the spokesperson said.

“We have made this decision for the North America tour to hopefully avoid a repeat of the issues fans in the UK and Ireland experienced recently.”

Oasis’ tumultuous history has been marked by sibling rivalry; the Gallagher brothers’ long-standing feud culminated in Noel’s departure just before a scheduled performance in Paris in 2009.

Since then, while they have not performed together, both have included Oasis hits in their solo sets.

The UK tour will mark the first time the brothers have played together in 15 years.

Tickets for North America go on sale at noon local time on Friday. Registration for the presale ballot is open until Tuesday at 8 a.m. Eastern.

Attempts at registering for the North American presale ballot required users to answer a trivia question: “What year did Oasis last play in North America?” (The answer is 2008.)

For the U.K. presale, participants were quizzed on the name of the band’s original drummer, Tony McCarroll.

Oasis’ North American tour will begin in Toronto on August 24, 2025, before hopping over to Chicago on August 28.

From there, the band will play in East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 31 and Los Angeles on September 6.

The North American tour will round off with Mexico City on September 12.
