So when the United States and Canada faced off again during the preliminary round of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, things felt different. The United States won the game 4-2 over Canada, but the victory wasn’t nearly on the same level as the previous matchups.

In the end, neither the United States nor Canada won medals in the 2022 Winter Olympics, as they both fell short in the playoff round.
