Chris Bilski has joined Cayman Islands domiciled reinsurer Topsail Re from broker Howden Re as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Underwriting, where he will be responsible for underwriting, marketing, and account management.
Bilski joined Topsail Re in February after more than 18 months at reinsurance broker Howden Re as a Managing Director.
He brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his new role, having previously worked at IAT Insurance Group as Managing Director for more than five years.
Bilski also spent over 18 years at reinsurance giant Munich Re in numerous roles, latterly as Casualty Treaty Underwriting SVP at Munich Reinsurance America.
“I had the pleasure of watching Topsail grow both as a competitor and as a reinsurance broker, and I have the utmost respect for the company and team,” said Bilski.
“I am thrilled at the idea of joining such a talented group that looks to be creative in helping their business partners solve their reinsurance needs,” he added.
