MIAMI — Concacaf clubs are in the spotlight as the 2024 Central American Cup, Caribbean Cup, and W Champions Cup continue this week.

Here’s what is on tap across the region:

Concacaf Central American Cup

The quarterfinals of the Concacaf Central American Cup resume with the second leg encounters on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Not only will the four semifinalists be determined, but so will four berths to the 2025 edition of the Concacaf Champions Cup.

The losing teams will still be able to advance as those four will head to the play-in round to determine the remaining two CCC spots from Central America.

Deportivo Saprissa hosts Antigua GFC with everything to play for on Tuesday as both tied nil-nil in the first bout. Real Estelí looks to defend a 2-1 lead at CD Águila on Wednesday, while CS Herediano visits FC Motagua on a 2-2 aggregate. LD Alajuelense seeks to defend a 2-1 lead at home against Comunicaciones FC on Thursday to continue its title defense.

The 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup concludes its group stage with doubleheaders on Tuesday and Thursday.

Moca FC and Cibao FC have secured the top two spots in Group B, but the final order and home-field advantage in the semifinals remain to be determined. Moca will host Grenades FC in Tuesday’s first encounter, followed by Cibao against Ouanaminthe FC.

The last berth to the semifinals is up for grabs in Group A when Mount Pleasant FA hosts Real Hope FA on Thursday. Earlier in the evening, Cavalier FC will look to seal first place in the group against Arnett Gardens FC.

The Caribbean Cup will determine three spots in the 2025 CCC when its semifinalists and third-place winner are defined later this year.

The inaugural W Concacaf Champions Cup is reaching finality with the penultimate matchweek of the group stage taking place with matches on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC will host the San Diego Wave at BC Place followed by Portland Thorns against Santa Fe FC as part of a Tuesday doubleheader. Frazsiers Whip will host NJ/NY Gotham FC on Wednesday, and Tigres UANL Femenil will host LD Alajuelense on Thursday.

Tigres and Gotham lead the race in Group A, with CF Monterrey and Alajuelense also chasing the next round. In Group B, Club America Femenil and San Diego are even in the lead with six points, with Portland and Vancouver three points behind.
