Vice President Mike Pence continued his visit to Latin America and arrived in Chile on Wednesday, August 16. The Vice President met with the President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, and they discussed our nations’ strong commercial ties and diplomatic cooperation. Second Lady Karen Pence then joined the Vice President to meet with embassy staff and their families to thank them for everything they do for the United States. In the evening, Vice President Pence spoke to business leaders about advancing prosperity and economic growth throughout the Western Hemisphere and said that Latin America’s progress will mean more jobs and more growth in the United States of America.
