A pair of giants are meeting in San Francisco on Tuesday, July 2.
That evening, Brazil and Colombia will go toe to toe in a Copa América match at Levi’s Stadium which will determine each team’s placement in the tournament’s quarterfinals — and whether or not Brazil advances at all.
As of now, Colombia is 2-0 and guaranteed a spot in the final eight, although a win would ensure an easier opponent for Luis Díaz and the team in their next go-round. Things aren’t quite as clear cut for the 1-1 Brazil squad. Vinicius Junior and co. need a single point in order to stay alive and earn a third consecutive trip to Copa’s knockout round.
“Perhaps this is the first Copa América where we haven’t gone in as favorites,” Brazil coach Dorival Junior said, according to ESPN. “That’s the reality. We have to face up to the recent results.”
If you want to be there to witness the high-stakes action live, it isn’t too late to scoop up last-minute tickets.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets was $256 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Copa América history

That year, the tourney expanded to 16 CONMEBOL and CONCACAF teams; Chile ended up taking it all over Argentina at MetLife Stadium.
Most recently, Brazil hosted Copa América in 2021; Argentina won its 15th title that year.
