One of the favorites to win the 2024 Copa America, Colombia, will return to action to face Panama in the quarterfinals. Nestor Lorenzo’s men have been one of the most positive surprises, as they finished in Group D’s top position, ahead of Brazil, after defeating Paraguay and Costa Rica and sharing the spoils with the Seleçao.
Colombia are the heavy favorites to come out on top and get the ticket to the tournament’s semifinals, although their opponents will try to pull off the upset.
Panama bounced back from their opening loss to Uruguay, winning their final two group clashes to finish second in Group C, behind ‘La Celeste’.
It will be the first both sides collide since 2005, with Panama coming out on top in a CONCACAF Gold Cup clash.
