Currently, Costa Rica and Israel have an annual trade exchange of close to 50 million dollars, but there is still much potential to be fulfilled. Costa Rica’s main export products are golden coffee, concentrated juices and fruit purees, and dehydrated fruits.
Dyana also highlights that “we have success stories of Israeli companies that decided to open their food production plant in Costa Rica and that, through the company in Costa Rica, export to the whole world, taking advantage of the 14 free trade agreements. that the country has and that allows access to the markets of 157 countries.”
The Procomer office in Israel opened in 2016, during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica, Alexander Mora. Since then, the office has dedicated itself to the mission of intensifying commercial exchange, focusing on areas where Costa Rica has a unique strength.
“Costa Rica’s food industry exports to more than 100 countries in the world. We are the number 1 country in the export of concentrated pineapple juice and the 1 in the export of fresh pineapple. Number 2 in homogenized preparations and number 3 in prepared sauces,” explains Dyana.
In addition, Dyana highlights that there are special incentive packages for companies that want to invest in Costa Rica.
These days, the Procomer office in Israel is also inviting you to participate in the Buyers Trade Mission (BTM) that will take place in mid-September. Representatives from more than 50 countries, more than 600 buyers and exporters participate in this meeting and business rounds are held to close agreements that have been worked on in the last year.
Participants in the event receive accommodation, food, transportation, access to the welcome and closing cocktail, networking lunches and access to the business agenda.
