From September 18 to 22, 2024, the contemporary art fair Mira Art Fair invites us to travel and discover new artists, with an original cultural event to be found at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine in Paris.
Do you lovecontemporary art, do you want to discover artists from all over the world, are you curious to see new creations, original styles, stories from elsewhere? Here’s a fair you can’t afford to miss: from September 18 to 22, 2024, visit Mira Art Fair, the contemporary art fair showcasing the Latin American art scene.
Held at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, this fair brings together numerous art galleries and creators from Peru, Cuba, Mexico and Argentina, as well as Spain, France and the UK, creating a unique and fascinating dialogue between cultures and continents.
The word “mira”, in Spanish, can mean two things: it translates as “look”, or it can designate an intention, a specific goal. With this fair, the organizers aim to draw attention to theart, cultures and richness of Latin America, and to put talented artists from across the Atlantic in the international spotlight. The event also aims to authentically convey and share the cultures of the South American continent. This includes painting, photography and sculpture, as well as gastronomy, music and entertainment!
For this first edition, Mira Art Fair welcomes 24 galleries from Europe and Latin America, as well as conferences, exhibitions and performances.

The exhibition In Time/In Place brings together 10 galleries through the works of artists deeply rooted in Latin American culture, reflecting the cultural diversity of the Americas. It explores how works of art, whether on paper, sound or sculpture, embody and reinterpret notions of space, offering unique perspectives on its dynamics and coding. The artists selected for this exhibition bring distinct interpretations that enrich the public’s understanding of art, underscoring the crucial importance of space in both the presentation and perception of works.
My latest crush is “Latino”
Monica M. Bianca – Collector & member of ADIAF
This exhibition, conceived for the inauguration of MIRA, aims to highlight Latin American artists who have aroused particular interest among collectors. Featuring 22 works by 16 artists from 10 private collections, the exhibition offers an overview of the thematic and formal explorations driving contemporary Latin American art.
It presents a range of media, from abstraction to video, while reflecting on artistic identity in the modern context. She poses crucial questions about integrating Western influences without losing the indigenous or mestizo essence, and explores the renaissance of art rooted in the territory without plagiarizing pre-Columbian art.
