WILLEMSTAD – Bart Hofke, the director of Flow Curaçao, will retire at the end of this year. Liberty Latin America, Flow’s parent company, will appoint a successor who will be responsible for the southern Caribbean region.Â
The new regional director will remain based in Curaçao but will also oversee operations on other southern Caribbean islands. Sint Maarten will have a separate regional director in charge of the northern Caribbean islands.Â
As part of the reorganization at Flow, 37 customer service positions have been eliminated, but 36 new positions have been created. Of the affected employees, 16 have opted for the severance package and decided to seek employment elsewhere. The union emphasized that Flow may hire external personnel to fill the vacant positions.Â
