Summary
Some 15 long-haul routes from the US/Canada are due for takeoff between August and December.
Of these, 12 are brand-new for the carrier, two of which routes are on narrowbodies.
The remaining three links will resume, having not been served since 2020.
More than 55 long-haul US/Canada international scheduled passenger routes have started so far this year, including 40+ to Europe alone. Naturally, many services began ahead of the all-important third quarter when demand, fares, and performance are highest – or at least should be.
Routes still to take off in 2024
The additional US/Canada services are stated below. They include both brand-new airport pairs and those that have not been served since at least 2020. They exclude temporary war-driven suspensions to Tel Aviv and United between Los Angeles and Shanghai Pudong, last served in 2023.

Only one carrier operated it last year!
As always, details are subject to change. Other routes may be announced. Only
international services of 2,600 nautical miles (4,828 km) and over
are included, and non-stop and one-stop additions are fair game. Only routes from the North American mainland and Hawaii are considered.
