LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) — Marvel Studios’ superhero film “Deadpool & Wolverine” led the North American box office for the third weekend in a row with an estimated three-day cume of 54.2 million U.S. dollars, figures from the measurement firm Comscore showed on Sunday.
The summer tentpole film has grossed 494.3 million dollars in North America and 535.2 million overseas for a whopping global cume of 1.029 billion dollars.
Based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Deadpool and Wolverine, the sequel to 2016’s “Deadpool” and 2018’s “Deadpool 2” stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin and Morena Baccarin. ■
