Haiti’s government has declared a state of emergency in response to escalating violence and insecurity. Hundreds of thousands of people have fled, often across the land border to the Dominican Republic.
Now, the DR’s government has said it can’t support all of these immigrants, and they’ve set a goal of deporting 10,000 Haitians per week.
