CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – President-elect Donald Trump has nominated a prominent real estate broker from the western North Carolina region to be the next U.S. Ambassador to Austria.
A real estate tycoon himself, Trump tabbed Arthur Graham Fisher, president of Brevard-based Fisher Realty, to take up the position. He was one of five ambassadors Trump nominated on Monday, Japan, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Luxembourg among the others. Trump wrote on Truth Social that “Art has been a staunch supporter of America First Policies, and will make us proud in Austria!”
Founded in 1977, Fisher joined the family business after graduating from the College of Charleston.
The nominations will have to be confirmed by the Senate.
Fisher made campaign donations that exceeded $50,000 in 2024, according to the Federal Elections Commission.
