ECUADOR PREVIEW: COMPLACENCY AND WASTEFULNESS
Ecuador, with the likes of Jeremy Sarmiento and Kendry Paez now complimenting their attack, took a first-half lead in their opener against Venezuela via the former but succumbed to an extremely frustrating 2-1 defeat in the second 45 minutes.
They had come into the tournament on the back of back-to-back victories against fairly weak opposition in Bolivia and Honduras but those wins had meant they had suffered just four defeats in their previous 14 outings.

Both teams need a victory here, though, and that may lead to quite a bit of tension and what ends up being a low-scoring game.
