With the Copa América now in full swing as well, there is wall-to-wall international action available on either side of the Atlantic should you choose to dabble, and we had a couple Chelsea players involved as well.
Over in Europe, Romelu Lukaku grabbed an assist and saw yet another goal ruled by VAR, but Belgium were able to beat Romania, 2-0 anyway. Their win, combined with Ukraine’s win over Slovakia yesterday, means that all four teams in their group head into the final matchday with three points.
Elsewhere at the Euros yesterday, in Group F Georgia somehow managed to get a point against the Czech Republic, who racked up missed chances as if they were Chelsea and were also on the unfortunate end of a couple handball calls as well (one ruling out a goal, the other giving away a penalty); while Portugal had no trouble seeing of Turkey, 3-0, and booking their spot in the next round.
Later in the day, at the Copa América, Mexico took care of business against Jamaica, though only by a 1-0 scoreline, while Ecuador were unable to overcome a wild early red card for Enner Valencia, with Venezuela coming back in the second half to win, 2-1.

Ecuador did actually manage to take the lead despite their opponents’ man-advantage, and drew several other fantastic saves from the goalkeeper (including a chance early on for Kendry), but would run out of gas in the second half. Both Kendry and Moisés Caicedo started, with the latter playing the full game and the former withdrawn in the final ten minutes. They will take on Jamaica next.
